Workshop overview
AI is not magic and it is not a replacement for thinking. In this workshop, students learn what generative systems actually do — how they predict patterns, how they produce images and text, and where human judgment still decides what is true, useful, and worth putting on a scientific poster.
The session moves from concepts to craft: prompt engineering, image references, model choice, then a hands-on Aviation Sciences poster that can enter the STC Scientific Poster Challenge. Live teaching happens in presentation mode.

What “intelligence” means in practice, where creativity enters the loop, and how students stay in control of the idea.
Prediction vs. creation, training data intuition, hallucination risks, and why scientific honesty cannot be outsourced.
Prompt anatomy, iteration loops, negative constraints, and patterns that produce clearer scientific language and visuals.

Hands-on
Students produce one complete scientific poster on an Aviation Sciences topic — using AI as a drafting and visual partner while keeping claims, data, and citations human-owned.
